New LoRa Meshtastic Repeater at the Clubhouse

A new antenna/radio was added to the W5QX clubhouse tower last Thursday, utilizing LoRa technology and Meshtastic you can send text messages to other people or channels over 915mhz using Meshtastic “nodes” powered by solar, completely separated from the grid and other infrastructure. Meshtastic radios connect to an app on your phone using BLE or WiFi and allow you to send messages in other channels that you program into the radio, or you can direct message people within range of the mesh.
