Club presentation and demonstration of Amateur Radio to the Society of Physics Students at Angelo State University.
Fantastic group of bright young minds who had great questions. Glenn Miller AA5PK gave a talk on Amateur Radio Satellites, Dave Mulvey K5DCM talked about amateur licensing, Sergio Wickliffe KJ5FWA demonstrated HF voice modes from his truck, and Chad Goodman KD5SMK demonstrated QRP Digital Modes and inexpensive DIY HF kits. Thanks to the SPS club for a reason to get on the air on a beautiful Monday evening! Stay tuned for updates on an ASU weather balloon research project, led by Dr Carrell, launching in May of this year. The club will lend the W5QX call sign and advise on APRS implementation for position reporting. 73 to our new friends at ASU Physics Department!
